The grapes were hand-picked and carefully sorted, with the fruit destemmed while retaining approximately 66% whole berries. Wild fermentation took place in stainless steel, followed by an average of 23 days on skins to build colour, flavour and structure. The wine was then matured for 18 months in French oak, of which 69% was new. At 13.5% alcohol, the result balances considerable Cabernet intensity with freshness, precision and finely controlled structure.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe 2014 vintage shows a concentrated yet elegant expression of Margaret River Cabernet, with blackcurrant, redcurrant and dark cherry forming the fruit core. Violet, mint and baking spice bring aromatic lift, while mocha, cedar, tobacco and graphite contribute savoury complexity. The palate is medium-bodied, fresh and vibrant, supported by finely structured tannins and a clean line of acidity. Cabernet Sauvignon provides the dominant shape and persistence, while the smaller Bordeaux varieties add subtle layers of fragrance, fruit and texture.
