Made entirely from Pinot Noir, the 2024 release presents a pure red-fruited profile supported by floral lift, savoury spice and finely woven tannins. Its graceful structure reflects the established Bird style, which emphasises delicacy, precision and aromatic expression rather than overt richness. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eVintage conditions played an important role in shaping the wine’s character. Tasmania experienced its driest summer on record, resulting in an early harvest across the state and minimal disease pressure during the growing season. These favourable ripening conditions produced 2024 Pinot Noirs with greater flesh and structure than the preceding couple of vintages. In the glass, Bird remains bright and finely proportioned, combining red cherry, redcurrant and raspberry characters with herbal, earthy and gently spiced complexity. The palate is delicate but persistent, with pure fruit carried across a mineral-inflected framework. Fine, filigree-like tannins provide definition without overwhelming the wine’s fragrant fruit. Although approachable in its youth, its balance, structural detail and concentration indicate strong potential for further development in bottle.
